Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has revealed that his enthusiasm in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment midway through the four-year agreement he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the summer of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which represented the initial significant trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he previously was, and would definitely contemplate lengthening his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had escaped him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
