The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really going ahead.
